Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP has requested everyone to be careful about the people who are active in trying to save their interests by exerting influence in different places. Without mentioning anyone’s name, he said, he lived in exile for a long time and lived as he pleased. Now, after returning to the country, efforts are being made to inform various institutions including the administration, business circles and media houses in an attempt to save more interests. None of these persons represent BNP.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said these words in a press conference at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Friday afternoon and requested everyone to be aware of such reports.
Rizvi said that many lives of BNP were lost while enduring the wretched fascist misrule for the past 16-17 years. Many are crippled, permanently blind. Economically, physically and emotionally devastated, many have become destitute refugees in their own countries. As BNP inspires oppressed countrymen to think of a golden future after the August 5 revolution, everyone needs to be aware of the opportunistic role played by a few vested interests in the party.
Referring to the cases against BNP leaders and workers, Rizvi said that when 60 lakh BNP leaders and workers including national leader Khaleda Zia and national leader Tariq Rahman were organized to destroy the nationalist forces by giving false cases and formal sentences,When the leaders and activists are helpless due to torture and persecution, many people leave the country and the party and migrate abroad to increase their happiness. Many had no news during this difficult time. The party has come to know from various sources that it is attacking various institutions including influencing the administration for its own benefit in the favorable environment of the changed situation.
In this case, Rizvi alleged that some people are trying to gain profit by defaming the name of BNP by targeting public administration, police and media houses. He said, however, during the difficult times of the party, when the demonic persecution of Awami fascism was increasing, they were living peacefully abroad to keep themselves safe.During the political calamity, their life passed safely. Now they have returned to the country and are trying to influence various institutions including administration, businessmen and media houses.
Rizvi said, “I request everyone to be aware, including the concerned institutions, to be aware of this kind of targeted reporting. These people do not represent BNP.
BNP Central Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan and Abdus Salam Azad were present at the press conference.
